“Ancient Technology” is just that,
an overview of the earliest inventions and innovations  to
improve mankind.. The author has delved into the classical age, an offers us
a look at some of the earliest technological innovations from prehistory and
those emanating out of early cultures in China, Ancient Egypt, Greece and
Rome.
The presentation is in itself a
veritable potpourri of inventions from an archaeological discovery of a
prehistoric flute, early agricultural implements. Rope manufacture in Ancient
Egypt, The pyramids, early batteries, water clocks, archaic pumps, military
siege equipment and the work of
Erastothenes and Vitruvius .
Here is an opportunity for the
history buff and those technologically inclined to view the earliest
inventions, some which appear outstanding when one considers the era in which
they evolved.
